GodTube, a faith-based Christian video sharing site and social network has raised $30 million at a $150 million valuation.
The funding comes from GLG Partners, a hedge fund. The site had previously raised $2.5 million from private investors, including Norm Miller of Interstate Batteries, according to paidContent.

Here’s a funny thing: if you visit the MySpace Apps page with AdBlock Plus enabled, the "Featured Applications" section appears entirely blank. And as it turns out, developers are indeed paying to show up in those spots.

Close to half of all people in the UK will be members of a social networking site within four years, a new report indicates.
The study found that the UK has the highest number of users in Europe who are members of sites such as MySpace and Facebook. At least 9.6 million people in the UK use these sites and that is expected to increase to 27.1 million by 2012.
